Haitec signs MRO pact with local partner in Bahrain
Bahrain-based private aviation support firm Mena Aerospace has partnered German maintenance specialist Haitec to provide MRO services for single-aisle aircraft in the Middle Eastern kingdom.
Under the co-operation, Mena Aerospace says it will “operate an expanded technical facility from its Bahrain hangar” and support “widely used narrow-bodied airframes” for operators in the Middle East and Africa. The company notes that its facility is the “only private hangar” at Bahrain International airport and can accommodate aircraft up to the Boeing 757.
Mena Aerospace’s website indicates the facility is being used as a “general and private aviation hangar” and that technical support covers line maintenance and certain avionics services for business jets.
Managing director and company founder Mohammed Juman states that Mena Aerospace is set to play an “integral part in Bahrain’s aviation ecosystem” and that “we all have to innovate to meet the increased demand”. He believes the partnership with Haitec will bring an “unmatched level of service and quality… to the country”.
The pact will create new jobs for Bahraini and expatriate aviation professionals and is “expected to generate foreign investment”, Mena Aerospace says.
Hahn-based Haitec supports the 737, 747, 757, 767 and 777, Airbus A320-family types, along with A330s, A340s, Sukhoi Superjets and Gulfstream business aircraft.
