AIX: AIM Altitude reveals integrated front row monument for Vantage XL seat
AIM Altitude has collaborated with sister company Thompson Aero Seating to develop a front row monument that complements the Northern Irish manufacturer’s Vantage XL business class range and can be customised by the customer to “reflect its brand”, according to the AVIC-owned interiors specialist.
Bournemouth-based AIM Altitude is unveiling the product at AIX, and says it will “make the transition from seat to monument as seamless as possible” by allowing “styling and aesthetic cohesion” while minimising “certification irregularities”.

AIM Altitude says it has adopted a “platform approach” using the same “internal skeleton” that can be altered to suit the airline customer.
The two companies have begun to work closer together following their purchase in 2016 – from respective owners – by the Chinese aerospace group.
The units are displayed on AIM Altitude’s stand in three different configurations with a consistent lower half. The left-hand unit has a full-height closet, the central unit features and under-bin closet and branding panel and the right-hand version is half-height with a baby bassinet included.
Vice president corporate accounts Matthew Eyre says designers have worked to make the front row monument “both practical and aesthetically pleasing”, adding: “Harmony of design is important when integrating front row monument with cabin design.”
